10th Saronic Chamber Music Festival
25 – 30 August 2022
Methana- Galatas- Hydra- Poros
The international meeting of distinguished musicians in the Saronic Islands is back!
After two years of enforced absence, Artistic Directors Jannis Agraniotis and Francis Kefford are delighted to bring you the 10th edition of the Saronic Chamber Music Festival. This distinctive institution in the Greek cultural landscape will once again present distinguished musicians from across the world performing some of the greatest masterpieces of chamber music philology.
From the 25th to the 30th of August, 2022, lovers of music and all those curious about the rich artistic tapestry of contemporary Greece will have a unique opportunity to appreciate a program of five chamber music concerts with critically acclaimed interpretations of works by Brahms, Mozart, Schubert, Dvorak and Schumann. The ensemble of soloists and musical leaders from across Europe will perform in Hydra, Galatas, Poros and at the Theatre of Kameni Chora in Methana.
The Leondari Ensemble will be joined by three distinguished international artists collaborating together for the first time: clarinetist, Sergio Pires (PT) and violinist Katherine Gowers (UK) are both internationally acclaimed artists; they will be joined by the distinguished Greek cellist, Alexis Karaiskakis-Nastos. Familiar faces will include much-loved members of the ensemble, musicians Julian Arp (cello), Bogdan Bozovic (violin) and Caspar Frantz (piano), all of whom were present at the original edition of the festival in 2011.
